I remember that well, I was in my early teens and I saved all my money to get season six on VHS, cost me 80 and took a fair few months to save up for it. This will be a triple dip if the blus come out but I'm more than willing to part with my hard earned cash!

I ploughed years of my pocket-money into collecting those tapes! Considering they brought it out on VHS and DVD six different times, Fox must've made a killing. The X-Files was huge back then, with merchandise everywhere.

I have vivid memories of those shrink wrapped video-cassettes. They were the most expensive thing in MVC. Indispensable though, if you wanted to watch the episodes in order; and you couldn't buy them separately either like Star Trek or Friends, you had to shell out for the whole season.

But. y'know, I really was content and satiated with my haphazard little collection right until I saw some of Lava_Lander's screencaps. It's always been a visually rich show, but never in my wildest dreams... It's maybe not the X-Files as it was intended to be seen, but it is the X-Files as it deserves to be seen.
