Hey that's great. be careful with the power tools. There are plenty of websites out there with great info. HGTV.com is great and also instructables.com. If you ever need any help or advice, don't hesitate to ask. That's the thing about owning a house, you either start learning and doing things yourself or you pay a lot of money to have someone else do it. I prefer doing most things myself. I have changed out sinks, toilet bowls, ceiling fans etc. pretty easy stuff. Also built a deck in my backyard by the pool and had never done one before.

Yeah man, that's what's great about the online community. Lots of friendly folks and a wealth of information. Heck, that's how I found out a lot of stuff I needed to know and met many cool people.

Hey guys, got a call from my friend that was making that movie that I'm in. They have put the finishing touches on it and it's playing at a local place on Wed. the 30th. All the cast and crew get a DVD copy of the movie and we're all gonna be there. Can't wait to see this thing. One more thing to cross off my Bucket List.

He mentioned that it might go online for a little while so I'll keep you all posted if it does and you want to check it out.

He just texted me and said he will be putting it online but he can only do it for a week for some reason. I'll keep everyone posted when it goes up.

Thanks for the info! I've been reading up a lot online and watching videos so I feel pretty confident. I'm going to be putting up peg board in the cave and I figured with all the cuts I have to make it would be easier to buy the saw. It all should be pretty thin wood so I figured it would be a great starter project for me to get used to operating it. I guess a question for you if you don't mind, I plan to just use an extra plastic folding table that I have to help place the wood on when I cut it. Would that be ok or should I use saw horses instead. The table is pretty big and sturdy so I though it shouldn't be a problem.

That shouldn't be a problen. Just be careful not to cut the table. Also if you have got the pegboard yet, you know lowes and home depot will do the cutting for you if you tell em the measurements. Just a thought. I used some 1" by 2" strips behind the pegboard for support. You can attach it on the walls on either end if it's not too long. If it's long you may need to put one in the middle. Then you attach the pegboard to the wood strips. Hope that helps.

That's a good point. I may just do that, the size I need is 27''x55''. It's going to go next to the bottom shelves I have installed in the room. I could always just buy a hacksaw to cut the strips since those don't need to have nice finished edges or maybe Home depot can just cut those for me too. I'm assuming you attached the wood strips to the studs in the wall? I should have two studs where I want to attach the strips to, if not I could always buy some wall anchors and attach them that way. Thanks for the input!

Yeah def. attach the wood strips to beams. You don't want to take a chance of the thing pulling off the wall.

Holy crap, latest news on collider.com. Apparently they spilled the beans and JJ Abrams is directing Star Wars Ep VII. I am now officially stoked.

I hope this doesn't turn out to be wrong like it was with Snyder, as Abrams had said in the past he wasn't doing the next SW movie. Excellent news if true! Loved his version of Star Trek.

Boy I hope this is true. He would make sure it's done right. Loved Star Trek. And with Kasden doing the screenplay, holy crap this will be awesome.

Man I'm really starting to hate UPS. If I'm at the house all day they don't deliver my stuff until like 5:00 P.M..
Then when I'm at work all day they magically show up early and leave a frigging sticker on the door.
Missed my Sideshow Mythos Maul today because they came early and now have to wait until Monday. Monday I work 2:00 P.M. so the little buggers will probably come right after I leave for work. Man I hate it. Sometimes I wish they didn't require a signature.

I hear you, Mike! I'm grateful I can spend all day at home if needed, but I now for alot of people it's not that easy. For the few times I wasn't home, I put up a PostIt and wrote where to leave the box with my printed name and signature on the bottom, and that always worked. May be different where you are at, but worth a shot.
