Surprised they aren't releasing that, but then again there's probably no demand for a butchered version what could've been a classic. Egh, if only someone else had the rights to the film and released the workprint of the original.
Problem is, Echo Bridge only has the rights to the cut. Filmyard Holdings which owns Miramax would have to get permission to release a full cut.

Fresh Blu-ray review

Hellraiser: Deader Blu-ray review

The Nameless Blu-ray review

Committed Blu-ray review

She's So Lovely Blu-ray review

When EB does well, they're pretty good (e.g., with She's So Lovely). When they do a bad job, the results are painful to watch. Of the batch I've been asked to review, the worst so far is The Nameless.

Reviews of The Hoax and Full Frontal are in progress.

The Nameless has a forced English dub with no subtitles.

Apparently Echo Bridge owns 'Hello Mary Lou: Prom Night II' now and MGM no longer does? I guess we will never see Blu-ray releases of either one now since EB seems not able to release the first one.

they probably cant release the first because they dont have an HD master but they might have one for the sequel if they just recently got the rights. i wouldnt worry too much, Echo usually puts out almost every popular title on blu ray, they might even do a double pack?!

The Thief and The Cobbler Miramax Cut on Blu-ray (don't get excited yet)?!:

Even on Blu-ray this film has to suffer.

For, I don't know, the 100th time.. the original "Prom Night" is coming to blu-ray courtesy of Synapse Films.

The post you quoted was from May. Prom Night wasn't announced by Synapse until July.

Has anyone heard about any future Echo Bridge releases? It's been a while since they've released anything, and I'd like to see releases (preferably individual releases) of the remaining Hellraiser and Children of the Corn films, as well as an individual release for Phantoms.

It looks like EBHE may have lost the rights to the Miramax catalog. All previous releases are now listed as discontinued, as of 14 Mar 2014 according to Michael's Movie Mayhem, and all mention of Miramax or any past releases have been scrubbed from the EBHE web site.

Hopefully, most of those films get picked up by a competent distributor.

Good catch, I had noticed that many Echo Bridge BDs from old stock had been packaged together and dumped in clearance bins at some retailers over the past couple of months. They were of generally poor quality, Miramax made a mistake licensing out those films to an unproven BD label like Echo Bridge.

Miramax doesn't really exist as a studio anymore, it's just a collection of assets. It was broken apart and largely sold to an investment group a few years ago. They licensed part of the film library to Lionsgate and part to Echo Bridge to bring in revenue. The Miramax music library (scores and such) was sold to Warner/Chappell.
