Got a bonus comic with it as well.

Why couldn't we get that slipcover in the USA? The slipcovers we have here are friction terrible.

Bring on the Rogue Cut. I still think the cut as is now is the best X-Men movie since X2. I love it. It's a gargantuan step up from Origins and First Class. I know a lot of people liked First Class a lot, and while there were certainly some really good things in there (Nicholas Hoult was and is perfect for a young Beast for example), it just didn't fully ignite for me. The Wolverine was really cool, I like that one a lot. BRING BACK RILA FUKUSHIMA! And I am one of the few who still enjoy The Last Stand, for what it is. Brett Ratner did a solid job for what little time he had to work with. Days of Future Past though really seems like a course correction.
[Show spoiler]Based on the ending alone it functions just as much as a reboot as it does a sequel. Singer hit the reset button.
ASM2 is still my favorite comic movie this year, but Days is certainly ranked evenly with the other two, CAWS and Guardians of Course, and all three are freaking awesome each in their own right. I would love to see Rogue put back in though, as I remember glimpsing her in the trailer. So, bring it!

Well it looks like it's a US release because just a few minutes ago I tried to scan the barcode with the Bluray.com app and they updated it: http://www.blu-ray.com/movies/X-Men-.../#RegionCoding

EDIT: ok never mind, they changed that entry and now it says its an Australian release

I was speaking specifically on comicbook films, but you're right... Overall, a great time at the movies in 2014!

Just picked up the Target MetalPak edition.

By the way, what is the supposed difference between "SteelBook" and "MetalPak"? I was thinking the latter might be a trademark thing, but the sticker on this didn't have a or next to the term. Maybe it's "SteelBook" that's trademarked, and "MetalPak" is to get around that?

Steelbooks are from a specific company, yes. They also have that middle section for the spine, while metalpaks have only two sections on a hinge.

My copy of this and Chicago were supposed to arrive yesterday, and they didn't. I'm pissed. I wanted to finally watch this! Dammit. Amazon has seriously not let me down in ages. Oh well.
