Yes, my 1500 has done that occasionally, awhile ago, not in over a year.
Certainly a glitch every 6 months is not really a problem for me.

My 1500 has been quite well behaved in the last 6 or more months, just a little slow.

I can literally go months without turning it on and only watch a movie when the mood strikes me and some time the mood strikes me in thick bursts.

I just got the Blade 3 pack from Wal-Mart and it played all disc glitch free consecutively but part 2 had an unusually long load up time and on both players too. It seemed like the player was trying to read it and did after about a minute on both and then the disc itself was trying to load an extra minute or so. Weird. Movie played just fine. I think it's something to do with the disc or something even it happened on both players but then again both players are old and could be having the same issue.

No need for an exchange, did so already when one of the discs was scratched I just found it odd that was probably the longest I had to wait for a film to load up and it wasn't like some epic 3 hr 4k restored masterpiece lol.

Similar issues on the 1600 now. No audio on a disc, restarted and audio reappears. This model has to be late 2008/2009, I need to upgrade.

Watched Dead Pool for the first time tonight, watched all the features and 99.9% of the movie before it skipped at the end. The scene plays without incident over and over and the disc is pristine. Thinking player issue, thoughts?

Watched ID4 remastered, film played just fine, 2nd disc never loaded in main player and took forever with load noises on the secondary player. I bet its both the players since they are almost 10 but exchanging it out tomorrow.

Don't buy Samsung players. Period. I know this from personal experience, and reading many other accounts of similar experiences.

They suck when it comes to upgrading firmware, and disc compatibility and glitches tend to be a fairly frequent issue, especially as newer discs come out over time.

Say "no" to Samsung Blu-Ray players. Say "yes" to a whole lot more.

I think there's been an issue with the bonus disc with ID4, if your player is out of support it's probably time to upgrade to a newer model, as Samsung would help the problem with a firmware upgrade.

Yeah I just need to upgrade. I was shocked at how smoothly BvS ultimate loaded and played but then I had to rewind and hit play and it froze. I did it a few times this viewing with no issues and it happens on my last rewind towards the end. I don't think the laser in the player or the remote is functioning properly anymore, it just acted as if I had paused the movie and even when turning off the player the image was still there for a few seconds.

Totally a player issue I have lived with, not anymore. By the end of this year I am getting a new player.
