Default Amadeus

Does anyone know the names of the songs played in Amadeus? I have been searching and listening to alot of Mozart's songs but cant find the ones played in the movie. If anyone knows please repost.

I also wanted to know the name of the song played "when Salieri goes and sees mozart for the first time" what song was played when it first showed him walking through the castle.

Hello OP, I have both of the original audio CD sountracks for the movie Amadeus. The first CD is a two-disc set. The second release is a single disc featuring "more music from the Amadeus soundtrack." All are wonderful. I do not know which song specifically plays in the scene you mentioned.

All of the music in Amadeus was performed by The Academy of St. Martin-in-the-Fields,
Conducted by Neville Marriner.

Here is some info which I clipped from Amazon.com:

Assuming you mean the scene where Salieri goes to see Mozart performing for the Archbishop, it's apparently the Adagio from Wind Serenade in E Flat. I can pop the movie in later and check.

So based on nycomet's track listing for the soundtrack, I'd guess it's:

I am still looking for the song when Salieri first was in the Arch.
It was a group of men playing, I dont quite know the genre but it sounded like Irish sounding music.

Anyone know what thats called?

Give us the exact time that the piece you're interested in appears in the movie. That'd help.

If you really like the music that much, you should purchase the symphonies done by Sir Neville Mariner and the Academy of St. Martin In The Fields. They are all done beautifully and he conducted the music of Amadeus. Just getting different movements of different symphonies and concertos is just not enough when it comes to this type of music.
