Well, being curious to see it is not the same as demanding it be released, and even if it were, the PG theatrical version would still be the final product. I'm just thinking in terms of an extra feature on some future release, but since they already did a special edition, I'm not holding my breath.

There are a few films I can think of though that would have been PG-13 or close to it if not for the language. Patriot Games is film where if they modified the language a bit would have been PG-13. A lot of the brutal violence is implied, rather than shown. A PG-13 rating also would make more sense for that series (Jack Ryan), seeing as The Hunt For Red October was PG and the following film Clear and Present Danger is PG-13 and is arguably more violent than Patriot Games. Aliens is another borderline PG-13 if not for language. The only reason Planes, Trains and Automobiles is R is for Steve Martins F-bomb laden rant at the rental counter. However in that instance it's creative and shows just how far his nice-guy character has been pushed over the edge. |

Well, it depends on the theme of the movie for me. I'm okay with strong language in movies like Se7en, etc.
Everything is proceeding as I have foreseen.

Is there definitely a reissue? It doesn't appear on Amazon.com, and the pre-order link on Blu-ray.com is broken.

It would be nice if Warner did new art for their releases. I would actually rebuy the disc for less terrible-looking artwork.

I was watching The Avengers today and for some reason, this flick popped into my head. Glad to see it's on Blu, I'll get it soon.
Amazon lists a 25th Anniversary edition, which is obviously incorrect, lol. But, one is $25 and one is $13. Any difference between these? http://www.amazon.com/Galaxy-Quest-B...=B002MU4NL8&m= |

Prices are different now, one lists a "newer version": it's one of the titles Warner is now re-distributing for Paramount. Same discs (contents), different UPC. Last edited by PeterTHX; 02-18-2013 at 08:51 PM. |
