Default Headphone Recommendations

I am looking for a new pair of headphones and am looking for recommendations. I will be using these headphones primarily for travel and will be using them with a variety of different things...portable DVD, PSP, I-Pod Video, etc. I do not want to spend hundreds of dollars, probably looking at $100 or less. They will be used on airplanes, so have to deal with engine noises.

Thanks!
Blue Rays that I currently own: The Departed, 300, Pirates of the Carribean #1, Cars, Surf's Up, Night at the Museum, Spiderman 3, Training Day, 3:10 to Yuma, Blood Diamond

I've had these for about a year now, they're fantastic.

Check out the following link for noise canceling headphones:

Also, have a look at http://www.head-fi.org for some research.

Sadly (?) I agree... I've tried Sennheiser's, Sony's and the Bose boys get this one right. I live on airplanes and these things are Lifesavers... If you can, get a pair.

From what I've heard and read, Bose makes very good headphones. A little pricey, but they are quite good. I own a pair of Sony's that I'm very happy with. I don't recall the model #, and now that I think of it I don't know where they are..... but they retailed for about $99-120. They're an around-the-ear folding design. Now I have to go find them.
