There's nothing wrong with the Today Show!

Maybe not, I don't watch it so I can't say. However their hosts, when covering the Olympics, delivered some of the most inane "commentary" known to man, and couldn't shut up for almost the entire running time of the show. They talked over top of everything.

Luckily I found a torrent of the BBC broadcast. They still talked, but only maybe 20% as much as the irritating American hosts. I'm hoping the BBC BD will have an option to watch the Opening Ceremony with NO talking whatsoever, so I can properly enjoy Danny Boyle's brilliant work.

I think it does, as that was an audio commentary I believe

Could someone tell me what the diving/swimming highlights are like, are the main events shown in entirety or is it all cut up like much of NBC's coverage was? I don't care much for much else just the swimming and US centric view of the sports
Pre-Ordered: Bond 50 | The Artist | The Adventures of Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn

I am disappointed NBC cut up the opening but does anyone care to comment on how the closing is presented? I really wish we could get a commentary free opening and closing, I'd even take it with NBC commentary if it were complete... I know that sounds crazy but that's how I watched it on TV so I would be fine with that.

The BBC BD has this, at least for the opening (didn't watch the disc with the closing).

The BBC has, for the opening:

- BBC Sports commentary audio
- stadium audio
- Danny Boyle commentary

Time to get a regionless player

I would get the BBC release but as much as I want the opening I want the closing too, and from what I've heard the closing does only have commentary audio. I'd honestly rather have the NBC commentary than BBC Commentary, since that was the way I originally watched it.
