on my BDP-103 which i've had for about 1 month now (bought at 220-Electronics), i switch Blu-ray region this way, on the remote:

dim-dim-dim-mute-1 (for region A);
2 for region B;
3 for region C.
i then shut down the player and reboot; the conversion then is done.

a couple of weeks after i got this machine, Oppo came out with a new update.
i installed it and did a reset as asked.
the region free mods still work ok as before.

on this machine, the PAL-NTSC conversion (and vice versa) is of very high quality.

OK, that's the key combination for the standard mod.

kinda want to pick up a region free player, nothing crazy. would you guys recommend the Sony BDP-S3100?
