Default Sad really

I think its sad really that such an ambitious summation of The Bible was attempted and the results were so poor. The series leaves out so much and is a huge disappointment! Most people I know turned it off halfway through the first episode. I know it stunk on ice when Creation story whizzed by and Noah was so underdramatic. Why couldn't they stick to the source and actually quote The Holy Bible for crying out loud?!!

Because a mini-series of 10hrs would balloon to about 2000 hours, and no network it going to touch that.
Also that's why people go to church on Sunday.

This is true! While God was giving Moses His Ten Commandments at the burning bush, some of the Israelites had build a Golden Calf, and were worshiping it as a false God. They were destroyed! One of the Ten Commandments is from the KJV:

Thou shalt worship no other God: for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God!

The series improved as it covered the story of Jesus and the Gospels in a much tighter continuity. The Old Testament covers such a wide range of history that a few hours on television makes it almost impossible to depict in a coherent manner.

Some more screenshots are available, the A/V quality of the Blu-ray set is great.

I got this a day after my mom, sent to the same address, but her's got a slip when I didn't. So disappointed, and random! I'll probably just beat her up and take the slip from her, like a good Christian would.
If you're reading this, you can read.

It does have a very nice slipcover, though it picks up fingerprints very easily with its finish.
