Indeed

I'll have to watch the movie just for the speakers .

It seem they will have new Tribes or they showed new speakers at Cedia this year.

Forest Signatures now offered in Design finish High gloss Black (Dusk) or high gloss white (Ice White)

Grills are now standard.

https://totemacoustic.com/en/forest-signature

The design finishes are no longer available for the Other standard tower except the Arro, maybe because they still have some in stock, I think it will also disappear for the Mites and Arro soon.

Hello all! I'm in a bit of trouble here. Haven't turn on my system in a few month and decided to have a listen last night, only to find out that the bass driver in both of my Totem Hawks are not working. The tweeters sounds fine but the bass drivers are not moving. A closer inspection revealed the the glue on the lip of the driver came loose (I can peel it up and see the coil/wires being the cone). Funny thing is that the glue came loose at the 4 o'clock position on both of the drivers. My thinking is that even if the glue is separated at one portion of the driver, it should still be working but sounds terrible right? Is it a common issue with the Hawks to have a dead driver? Or could I be having multiple issues. I contacted Totem by email and asked if I could purchase the bass drivers and perhaps replace them myself, but they ask me to contact my local dealer instead. BTW, I purchased my Hawks from the same dealer used about 5 years ago? Any idea how much will I be looking at to have them fixed? Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks!

For the Driver you may already know they are using a Scanspeak Revelator so I am quite shock as all speakers using those driver would run into the glue issue.

Now a raw scanspeake revelator runs for about 200$ new if you get it at Totem through your dealer it will cost you more but they do have proprietary modification made to them So I will say $300 per driver maybe, if you decide to replace them yourself, Your dealer will order them from Totem for you with the SN you will get a perfectly matching pair.

You will have to undo the welding on the wires from terminals ans weld them back.

Are the back jumpers connected on the binding post?

Hi Al! Thanks for the quick reply! No, I had no idea who the manufacturer of the speaker driver was until now. Sorry my knowledge on audio equipments are limited, besides that I enjoyed listening to them haha! Yes, the jumper on the binding post are still on and tight. I opened up the back panel where the binding posts are just to take a peek, did not find anything disconnected/burn. I also attempted to remove the driver but was unsuccessful. Removed all the screws around the driver but seems like it's also attached to the cabinet by glue or something. I didn't want to pry too hard as I'm afraid I might damage the finish on the cabinet. Since you mentioned that the Scanspeak Revelator drivers have proprietary medication made to Totem, I might just stop by my local Totem dealer and see if they can order me a set then.

Thanks again Al for your valuable informations. I will keep you updated after I speak to my dealer.

Yeah the driver is not glued on but it may be difficult to move it around as they sit tight in their position but as you said better not damage the cabinet. it's quite a shocker they just topped working
Yeah Totem does some mods to the drivers in house. As you see at over $200 for a raw driver it would not be a surprised to see $300-350 from Totem and maybe another 100$ to change the drivers at your dealer but it's still way cheaper than a new pair.

Totem will introduce the new Sky to replace the Model One at just under $2K but also a bigger bookshelf is expected.
