EDIT: Actually, "proper noun" is the exact term.
Names (or proper nouns) ending with s are made plural by adding es.

It still doesn't look right to me, but MrTwoArms is indeed correct...

I guess I've looked like an idiot when mis-using this rule for the last ten years.

What if it's possessive? I always just use an apostrophe with no extra s because then I don't get the red squiggly line

What is everyone's opinion of the Oxford comma?

I don't care what the "new" rule is. This still makes more sense to me:

"DaBargainHunta, Strumdogg, and Joxx ate guac chips, watched bargain bin Blu-rays, and reveled in their status as chip connoisseurs, Blu-ray experts, and fine gentlemen.
I'll be back for more bargain bin Blus!

I prefer the oxford comma, myself.

Do you, really, do you, or are you not sure?

Yeah, the oxford is reflexive for me, and I always get work folks "correcting" me.

Like others have mentioned, I checked back at my DT where I picked up 11 blus last week. They hadn't restocked.

And I asked a couple of employees about the frequency of movie shipments and got the same general answer that they don't get them regularly. And also that they had received 1 box and then another box a few days later. I must have walked in just after they put the 2nd box out since there were multiple copies of most titles.

So I'll be stopping in from time to time when I pass by. And I'll watch for any new sightings from other folks on the forum. But I wouldn't go hunting for them. You could drive yourself nuts!
If I ever forget to leave feedback, feel free to remind me!

I went to 2 stores and found Our Wild Hearts!

First store had 3 copies and I traded the dvd that I mistakenly bought Tuesday that I already owned. They did have me wait over 15 minutes in line so that they could return the dvd and sell me the BD. Both, as well as every other title, have the same UPC sticker so on one level that was completely pointless, but I've worked retail before and know how it goes, so didn't complain.

I think I'm done, but am relieved to get something more and so end on a higher note.

Found only a couple Blu-rays: Sweetwater and For Greater Glory.

But they had a lot of great DVD deals:

My Boy Jack - I saw this on PBS a few years ago. Daniel Radcliffe as Rudyard Kipling's son. Highly recommended for fans of RK or period British dramas.
Elegy
Gentleman Broncos
The War Within

And they had a few DVDs that I already own on Blu-ray but are still great buys:

Animal Kingdom
The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford
Redbelt
Terri

I'd love to find The Square that someone mentioned earlier in the thread. Pick it up if you see it. A lot like Animal Kingdom. Australian noir.

Finally I picked up a copy of The Monuments Men book. Good deals all around

Gentleman Broncos is one of the worst movies I've seen in recent years, but I'm still tempted to purchase it. Someone please tell me I'm not the only one who feels this way.

I'm sure it's not great, but for $1 I was in for Jemaine Clement. Maybe I will regret this blind buy.

I absolutely LOVE this movie. Probably the only person I know that does though.

I honestly can't get this movie out of my head. I would have picked up it for $1 as well.

Gentleman Broncos is worth watching just for the Sam Rockwell scenes. I actually wish the entire movie would have been the stuff featuring Rockwell.

Has anyone seen a second wave of titles hit their nearby stores? I'm wondering if it will be worth the effort to go through another round of scavenging.

I went by two days ago and everything was gone. This store had a ton of new DVDs and I highly doubt customers bought them all so maybe they shipped the unsold stuff somewhere else. I even checked the regular movie section and none of the ad movies were put there after the advertised special.
