Great news! I have their Italian DVD of it but will definitely upgrade. I just love Italian gothic horror.
Most wanted blu-ray upgrades: Seconds, Suspiria (remaster), Danza macabra, L'orribile segreto del Dr. Hichcock, Nosferatu (1979), Il boia scarlatto, La frusta e il corpo, Sei donne per l'assassino, Dracula (1979), The Haunting (1963), Jungfrukällan, L'avventura, Spoorloos, Les yeux sans visage, Prince of Darkness, The Changeling (1980), Ringu, Ju-on, Psycho II, Psycho III, The Maze (1953, 3-D)

Raro have announced Alberto Cavallone's Blue Movie (1978) for an August 2013 release on their Facebook page, but have not specified what format(s) it will be on. My guess is DVD-only.
"You might very well think that; I couldn't possibly comment."

Seems kinda pricey for what it is. What are the odds that it gets any cheaper before release?

I am sure it will be priced around $13 on importcd's when it goes up for pre-order there. That has been what Raro's releases have been around from them. For example Di Leo's Shoot First...Die Later is only $13.09 at ImportCD's and I think it is $19.99 on Amazon.
Blu-Ray Wish List: The Asphalt Jungle (1950), Out of the Past (1947), The Big Sleep (1946), High Sierra (1941), Maniac Cop 2 (1990), Chopping Mall (1986), Kill Baby Kill! (1966), Blood and Black Lace (1964), Dodsworth (1936), His Girl Friday (1940), Roman Holiday (1953), A Matter of Life and Death (1946).

$13 definitely seems more reasonable.

Yeah for any of these independent label releases(Raro,Olive,Kino, Shout/Scream Factory) importcds.com is really the way to go price wise.

The Long Hair of Death Blu-ray

NEWS
http://www.blu-ray.com/news/?id=11048

Quote:
Independent distributors Raro Video have confirmed that they are planning to bring to Blu-ray Italian director Antonio Margheriti's I lunghi capelli della morte a.k.a The Long Hair of Death (1964), starring Barbara Steele (Black Sunday), George Ardisson (Juliet of the Spirits), and Halina Zalewska (The Leopard). The release is expected to arrive on the market this Fall.

In this gothic gem, Steele plays Helen Karnstein, who's mother is burned at the stake as a witch. Helen vows revenge, but is pushes off a cliff before she can carry it out. Death cannot stop her however, and she returns to wreck havoc upon the man who falsely accused her mother. There is something for everyone in this moody masterpiece: a sinister castle, secret passageways, hidden crypts, ghostly temptresses, plague, witch burning, seduction and adultry. A Barbara Steele classic!

Not to change the subject, but isn't Antonio Margheriti one of the names used by the Inglourious Basterds when they attend the Nazi screening?

Yes, it is. Tarantino is a huge Italian movie buff and always takes an opportunity to recycle the names of his favorite actors for use in his own films. He also calls one of the characters in IB "Hugo Stiglitz" in reference to an actor that appears in Nightmare City.

And Umberto Lenzi, the director of the original Inglorious Bastards can be seen in the "movie premiere" scene in the lobby

Lenzi didn't direct that film, it was Enzo Castellari.
