First Hoodwinked was a very underrated movie. Haven't seen the second one yet but will be game for it.

I was one of the 10 people who actually saw Hoodwinked Too! in the theater. The 3D isn't bad and the movie is kinda cute but nothing great. I really liked the first one though.

I liked the first one.. not having Anne Hathaway voicing this second one made me pass. Not sure if I would get it!

Why is this exclusive which also includes a CD priced at $24.96 with regular retail price at $39.99 but the other 3D version without CD is priced higher at $29.96 with regular retail price at $49.99 ?

I got Hoodwinked Too 3D new for 9.99$ online, sale over.

The 3D is decent at best, mostly weak 3D sadly. Whoever decided to play it safe needs to rethink the point of 3D. "To not look 2D" for starters, and thankfully, it's not 2D, but they need to push it a lot more for a nice 3D effect and layers.

Otherwise, I like the fact the movie doesn't take itself seriously, and there are a couple mildly humorous shots, like when the lady in the temple keeps stepping on the lady on the ground without a second thought. That was unexpected.

3D: 6/10. Mostly weak with some good 3D shots here and there.

This has probably been discussed on here before, but I heard this was one of very few animated titles that were produced in 2D then converted to 3D after the fact (and without original 3D models, etc, to assist in the conversion process - like Shrek)?

Having seen 30 minutes of it before I switched it off - that news didn't surprise me in the slightest.

An animated movie that does not exploit the 3D to the fullest extent is an abhorrence of natural order. They should not exist!

Only Pixar is allowed to get away with it given their above average visuals....

Converted? That might explain the safe/weaker 3D, though I'll admit there are some very good 3D shots once in awhile among the mostly weak 3D.

The colors in the film are well done, along with the lighting. Character designs are slightly clunky if the old lady's tall white hair puff is examined, along with the bulging eyes of the hyperactive squirrel, but that is up for debate.

The story got more interesting once they reached the city and met a pretty original version of Jack and the Beanstalk, with metal beams for the vines, and the Giant being a Mafia kingpin.

I can see this being made by a small team with Blender (CGI software) or a shoes string budget, so with that in mind, it's not a terrible effort, but will be viewed best as a made for TV movie or show, rather than a major motion picture in theaters, which has to compete with tough competition like Pixar, Disney and Dreamworks.

My Set-Up: Panasonic PT-EAU7000 Full 3D Projector on a 120" screen and 7.1 Earthquake surround sound. Why go to the movies anymore?
