I Was able to ship it to my nearest store.

note that they are all in different conditions, it seems some are new, some reconditioned, and some are floor models, but for the price i thought it was worth to try, since the only other option i could find was the OREI BDP-M2 which was too expensive for the use i am planning.

Edit: just noticed that it seems it can only be shipped to store, so i was lucky my store had one, hopefully it can still be helpful to someone closer to one of those stores.
Is it possible to get a store that has a unit in-stock to ship it to one's nearest store?

I just tried adding some to cart, but it seems the only way is to ship it to the store that currently have it.

I think you need to go into the settings and change the video output, if the hardware isn't failing. This player has a lot of settings for outputting upscaled chroma content and I don't think many displays can handle it. This is not tied to the resolution settings, which are separate.

My player was doing that when i had the 1080P selected. Went back and changed to AUTO and problem went away and play at 1080P all the time.

Walked in to my local sears and grabbed one off the shelf for 39.97. There's 3 left at the Willowbrook mall in Houston Texas if anyone is interested. I tested it on a region 2 dvd when I got home, played great. I have some region B blurays coming to try next.

Not sure if you know or not, but to play the region B blu's you will have to use the code to switch it to region B before you play the disc. Default is region A.

Considering it doesn't honor the region code requirement, I doubt they bothered implementing Cinavia on this player. If you are concerned about Cinavia, all older Blu-ray players made before 2011 or so are guaranteed to not have it.

Buy.com seiki sr212s region free blu-ray player at xscargo canada

turn on the blu-ray player enter the setup and press 8520 and you and change the region coding you have do this everytime for blu-ray. 1=a 2=b 4c these are the different codes for the blu-ray. once you change dvd to region 0 you do not have to do it again. the seiki sr212s blu-ray play is available in canada at xscargo. it is worth getting for the person you buys dvds and blu-ray's from around the world.

thank you

Player is currently available at the Winnipeg XS Cargo (Regent) for 44.88CDN. Just tested mine out, and while its by no means a perfect player, the multi region playback is nice to have.
1965 DVDs,
1072 Blu-rays,
166 HD DVDs,
38 Laserdiscs
& counting...

Just picked up one at the Mississauga store. The chief reason to purchase was as a Back up player. It should be noted that the players are refurbished models, which I personally do not have a problem with. Unfortunately mine was missing the owners manual. However it is a great little Region free player, but IMHO the Seiki BD-660, which was the model before it is superior.
But since that player was discontinued, this one is better than nothing.
