I remember the original VHS release and you didn't see Conan walking off with the Princess.

Does anyone know if this is remastered at all or just a direct transfer from DVD?

According to http://www.avforums.com/forums/blu-r...ay-review.html

From the UK release they quote "Fox's UK Blu-ray release contains a good roster of extra features, including some new stuff, but a somewhat disappointing transfer. A full restoration was sorely needed. The image, as it stands, is no disaster, and there are definitely moments that shine, but this is still pretty lacklustre for such a cult favourite. But, at least we get the full uncut version in the UK at last!"

So no we will not be getting a restored Print just yet.

That is because the original US release (and the Aus version) do not include that scene. That was only in the Euro version (which later got put on US and Aus DVD).

Those new sf's came on the repackaged dvd. Rise of a legend was pretty decent. Dont know about the rest.

Did we get exactly the same censored disc that the UK got, with the horse falls removed?

Actually, all Fox territories got the same disc. It just happens to determine which version to play, based on the language and region setting of your player. I played it on a US PS3 and it's completely uncut.

The back covers for both Conan movies in Australia have the B symbol for the region coding but has anyone checked to see if they are actually locked?

I can confirm that the disc is 100% region free. Confirmed in-player.

All specs for the database entry have been confirmed via a BDInfo scan so are correct.

I don't own it so I can't confirm however it'd be unusual that they make one region free and lock the other. I'm sure another member who owns the title will be able to confirm this for you.

Thanks for the info. I wanted to know because I didn't want to purchase the local US release, since it is barebones. I'm from Australia and I can just get a friend or family member to pickup that release for me. Thanks again...

Wait on... doesn't the US Destroyer have the trailer included? I think their version has more extras than the Aus.

The US disc has the trailer. The overseas version from Fox/MGM has the following,

Audio Commentary with Director Richard Fleischer

Audio Commentary with Cast Members Olivia D'Abo and Tracey Walter

Basil Poledouris: Composing the Conan Saga

Conan: The Making of a Comic Book Legend

Original Theatrical Trailer.
