Have you ever seen the mini series Walking Dead? I think you might like it. It's all shot on 35mm cameras, all on location (barely any soundstages), and the film grain is intense

Anyone experience an OLED set just randomly getting dark for no reason? I've been experiencing this with my LG EF9500. I wont be watching any HDR content and the TV just turns down the brightness in any setting. Sometimes it also washes out the colors and it becomes almost monochromatic. Thoughts?

Do you mean the fear of the walking dead? Have seen it and it looks good on 35MM, but it can't hold a candle to the walking dead.

I love movies filmed on 16 or 35mm cameras.

Well, having my 55UH850V returned and getting a OLED55C6V delivered tomorrow. Noticed the UH850V was getting some clouding and slight banding, be interesting to see the difference this new screen will bring.

Last night when I went to turn tv off a message popped up about panel clean cycle about to start when tv went off. I tried to hit the Back button to avoid this but the tv turned off anyway. Has this ever happened to any of you?

I've only had an OLED for a few months, so no not yet...

But if the TV wants to do a maintenance pass on the screen, it might be a good thing.

If mine ever asks, I'm going to lean towards letting it.

I've been reading that 2016 OLEDs can handle HDMI Full (0-255) range.

I tried it quickly and the picture gets a bit darker, but that could be overcome with other settings if needed.

In theory, you could get better shadow detail with HDMI Full (?).

I've also read, however, movie content is mastered in Limited (16-235) range.

Any thoughts?

I didn't want to. I've heard stories of owners whose panels actually worsened aftef a clean panel cycle
