Thanks Steve & Olivier!

It's got me hooked on all the posters I've always wanted. Been doing a lot of Photoshopping to make my own custom posters for movies I like but can't find online (Troy, Mewtwo Strikes Back, Pan's Labyrinth, Mask of Zorro) and color correction on a few to match the color scheme of my place.

You sir have put together one impressive show piece of a place. We should contact GQ to nominate you for an article in their mag.

So a small update in ye olde thread.

My 65ZT60 sort of developed a "disease" - lack of screen uniformity, HIGH sensitivity to IR (i.e., images only on for 2-3 seconds stayed on for longer than that), dark patches on the screen - Panasonic came through in spades, though, and it was a quick process. Since there are no more ZT60s to replace it with and a main board will not fix the issue, they have offered a refund.

However, given the dearth of TVs I'm interested in (not going Samsung, too many bad experiences), OLED isn't ready, and I damn sure aren't going back to LEDs/LCDs after 6 years plasma, I believe it's time to go projector/screen.

If I can solve the logistics of a projector and screen system in my place - read, placement/aesthetics, I will most likely go that route.

Probably an Epson 3500 or 3600e or a Sony VPL40 with a 92-100" screen (given seating and space limitations here).

If I can figure it out. If not, I'll just move the Kuro back downstairs and get a whatever-the-eff TV for upstairs in the interim until better options appear.

Wow that sucks to read about your ZT60. Looking forward to seeing what you decide on good luck.

I'm in a similar quandary, in that I wanted to purchase more screen estate for my main system and with Panasonic out of the plasma game and no OLEDs in sight I'll have to stand pat

They just came by to pick up the ZT60. Lasted 10 months. Shame, really, considering my Kuro is about to hit year 6.

Around 1600 when it developed the issue. By 1700-1800 it was noticeable and distracting. It was taken away at 1850.

Hey bud - I went to go see the LG 55" OLED. Too small. Can't drop down in size. I really think I'll go projector screen in this place, even though I said I wouldn't.
