This was a great movie. A black comedy and a crime thriller all rolled into one. Very entertaining. I also recommend the French thriller Sleepless Night when that comes out.

This was a bad film, a bunch of ridiculous exaggerated scenes thrown together to be called a thriller. Suspending belief only goes so far. Good for Norway standards I guess.

this film though trounced the stinking piece of cinematic poo known as 'The Bourne Legacy' - now that was a BAD film.

Good for Norway standards? You guess? That reeks of the most banal snobbery.

I don't know why you two are so sensitive. The Norwegian film industry is a slight step above the Bollywood film industry. You too would get insulted if I said "good for Bollywood or Indian standards?" There are some countries that just release crummy films all the time compared to other countries. You think that all countries with a film industry are equal?

Do you know why Headhunters is released on USA blu-ray? It's because it's decent enough to be enjoyed by others around the world. Don't judge a whole film industry by the few decent films that get released in other countries. The majority of films released in Norway are stinkers.

I thought the film absolutely sucked. It started off good but there's a turning point in the film (when his partner is found unconsious in the car) when the film just turns into ridiculous scenario after scenario.

Uhhh.... I think you mean ALL countries do. Otherwise, you'd be wrong. If you're talking pure ratio, America probably puts out more truly bad films than any other country on the planet. Just because it looks expensive doesn't make it good. I'll take a crappy retread of Headhunters any day of the week over most of the trash that comes out of Asia and America on average.

Canada 5 stars

Each comment is very independent and personal, I could never really criticize a movie because it may be an Oscar winner for someone's eyes and probably is not for me .......

Anyway "Headhunters" Is not for an Oscar but for my taste has 5 stars out of 5, the script is excellent, is a very different movie and there is no similar movies, in my point of view and a very personal level I can say that the writer achieved a very smart movie, enjoyed it very much and do not want to go against other opinions (I just want to express my opinion) but in my collection of Blu-Ray Titles this movie came into my top 25 best movies I have.

Regards

P.S. I read that Hollywood wants to remake this movie

That's correct. Creative bankruptcy has never been more prevalent.

I thought the film was entertaining, with a tongue-in-cheek tone about the twists and situations the protagonist keeps getting into. It isn't meant to be taken too seriously as a thriller, IMO. It isn't great cinema, and probably wouldn't as well-reviewed in the US if it wasn't a foreign film. But as a pure genre film it worked for me.

^^^ It's certainly not a film that will withstand close scrutiny. In fact, the preposterous nature of the narrative twists make the film almost compulsively watchable. It's stylish, well-made, and entertaining, though not particularly "artistic".

I am a big fan of this crazy film. Very glad I bought, but just got around to watching it. I don't care how unbelievable the film was at times, it was still fun for me.

Just watched this on NetFlix. Excellent film overall. Very dark yet also humorous. Whenever I was worried that it would fall into the trappings of a generic thriller, the movie always surprised me. I strongly recommend it!
