Yep, get em while you can (and most are still cheap, not so much MS, but most others). The good news is Olive is re-issueing many of them. The bad news is Olive is ****ing up the audio, dropping all features and offering slightly different transfers. At least Cujo and Running Man both had a new commentary, this is pretty horrid with not even a trailer! Glad I got all the originals I want, including My Bloody Valentine and Relic. Still fenced about Running Man, but have access to the LG blu (just in Canadian packaging) at a local store.

In other news, LG has also given up other catalog titles. All the sudden Dead Alive went from 'please buy me for $10', to $150-200 by silently going OOP on us.

Oh my. I'm glad I got Dead Alive last year.

Yes, this is likely the case.

The Olive release is DTS-HD 2.0, the Lionsgate release had DTS-HD 5.1 and Dolby Digital 2.0 options.

There is no commentary. Nothing.
An OT release of the Star Wars Trilogy is the "gay marriage" of home video: the dark side keeps fighting against it, saying that only a small amount of people really want it. However, in no way will it affect their love and enjoyment of their current "situation."
And the good side realizes that it will make millions of people happy and society will only benefit from it.

I kept the Lionsgate 2-Disc DVD and their Blu-ray release I got for dirt cheap. Never going to sell either.
Wish more fun childhood films were released onto Blu-ray. Properly but with tons of extra features.

I think it's great that Olive is releasing all these old horror films, because otherwise we would never see the likes of Ticks, Night of the Demons 2, or The Boogens on Blu-ray, but for those that already had Blu-ray releases (Monster Squad, Running Man, and Cujo) it would be nice if they could, at the very least, include the 5.1 and/or 7.1 mixes. I realize that the original sound mix may be 2.0, and for purist that's fine, but since the surround mixes exist, it would be nice to have an option.

Don't know anything about this company. Is it safe to say this will still be available months from now, or will it likely go OOP like the last one. Just don't want too miss out again, yet don't have the spare income at the moment.

Olive's Blu-rays don't seem to be burning up the sales charts, their relatively high list price for stripped-down catalog titles seem to be affecting the overall sales.

This is a great question that only time will answer. Clark has it right too. I want to blind buy Ticks myself, but the price is too high to gamble on it.

Exclamation Trading my Lionsgate Monster Squad Blu-ray

I have the Lionsgate edition of "The Monster Squad", which is packed with special features, and I am willing to trade it.

Since I don't like to part with it lightly, my trade suggestion is this:

I send you The Monster Squad Blu-ray (Lionsgate edition in mint condition, like new) in exchange for

a sealed 3-D Blu-ray edition of "Life of Pi" (because of the special features. I hate 3-D),

a sealed copy of "Willow" Blu-ray (you can use the 8$ coupon of Life of Pie towards this purchase), and

a sealed copy of "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?" Blu-ray edition, and send it to me in Europe.

Please PM me, if you are interested.
