Default Park Chan-Wook's Vengeance Trilogy Blu-ray release

So, apparently Park Chan-Wook's Revenge Trilogy is getting a new DVD release this November. Does anyone know if there will be a blu-ray release as well? I can't find any info on that.

Apparently this release of the films will include the "Fade to White" version of Lady Vengeance. In this version of the film the movie slowly fades from color to black and white as the film progresses and that is how Park originally intended the film to be seen. I would love to see it that way but I don't want to replace my current DVDs unless I am replacing them with Blu-rays.

If anyone knows any info I'd be grateful.

I just got this information from Palisades-Tartan regarding their US Blu-ray Disc release of Chan-wook Park's Vengeance Trilogy:

Quote:
The Vengeance Trilogy DVD set has a wide release in March but the Blu-ray set being released on March 16th is only a Best Buy exclusive. It will come in a limited edition tin (also exclusive to Best Buy while they last). The wide release going to all retailers is June 15th and will have the normal slipcase packaging.

Anyone know if the new version of Oldboy will be identical to the one that was already available here?

And your point being? I don't care when it was announced, I'm reading about it now and I'm loving it.

How do you know? Do you have a link to verfiy that? Then again, if it were remastered, you'd think that would be mentioned along with the release date. Oh well, I'm still getting it. It's still the best transfer of Oldboy available.

Slightly annoyed that Palisades Tartan can manage to put both the regular and fade to black/white versions of Lady Vengeance on the US disc, where we only got the FTB/W version in the UK! I'd imagine it will be region locked as well.

I'll probably be picking this up, since i've never seen Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance but i've heard many good things. I've seen Oldboy but wasn't as impressed with it as most seem to be. The fight in the corridor was a good scene, but i found the rest of the movie to be kind of bland.

This will be a Best Buy Exclusive until April with a Tin Case. Not for sure if Best Buy will have 2 Versions (1 Reg & 1 Tin).

I love these films and will likely pick them up week 1. The Best Buy Exclusive thing only bothers me because in most cases they are more expensive than Amazon would likely be, I just shelled out too much for their recently released Boogie Nights exclusive. Best Buy did have a really good release week price on their exclusive Farscape boxset recently though, which is still the lowest price I have seen it sell for. So I guess I can hope.

Argh! You are correct, I got excited for nothing. I'm guessing the Blu-ray price will be $80...
