Yeah, I'm still pissed that Panik House went under. The films you mention are fantastic.

These are probably my favorite Synapse releases. A lot of others are worth picking up, but, for me, these are the cream of the crop of what they've released:

Night of Death -- a nice gem of a horror film
The Image -- one of the best S&M movies
Sex & Fury -- great Pinky Violence film
Pinky Violence Collection
Female Yakuza Tale
The Uninvited -- underrated asian horror film that people sometimes confuse with that other asian horror film whose remake used this name
Grapes of Death -- also available on blu-ray from Redemption
Lemora
Long Weekend
Effects
42nd Street Forever trailer collections or Blu-ray edition
Castle of Blood
Complete Hammer House of Horror --big improvement over the old A&E set
Countess Dracula
Hands of the Ripper
Twins of Evil
Curtains
Demons
Frankenhooker
Stepfather 2
Street Trash
Vampire Circus
Entrails of the Virgin
Women In Prison Triple feature
True Story of a Woman in Jail: Sex Hell
Cyclone
Prom Night
Horrors of Malformed Men
Thriller
Omen

My exposure to pinky violence is pretty limited, but Zero Woman: Red Handcuffs is another great one, put out by Discotek. Definitely a genre of exploitation film that I get a lot of kicks from. Fun for anyone who likes Kill Bill...and boobs.

Everyone pick up Wild Zero while you can get a good bargain.

Small Gauge Trauma is a really varied collection of intense short films, easily worth it. I wish Synapse (or someone) put out more of these horror short films.

Snake Woman's Curse is a fairly traditional japanese historical ghost story, I enjoyed it.

Can anyone comment on Sexula?

The Image impressed me; +1 to recommending it.

Entrails of a Virgin was way too heavy on the sex and too limited on the horror for my tastes (makes sense; the director said in the interview that he wanted to do the opposite of horror movies). The final 20–30 minutes though are pretty damn wild—as in the only section that is actually horror.

I expected something more like Urotsukidoji, I guess, where the sex and violence is intertwined and constant throughout.
