It's all due to the vagaries of U.S. Customs, which randomly inspects certain shipments. If your cargo container gets a random inspection, you can add two weeks to the delivery date. International shipments have never really been the same since 9/11.

Ah, I see. I knew VAT was a tax but I assumed we just had to pay it as well. thanks.

I have been lucky with my stuff from Britian - here within a week, same as ordering from local Amazon. And never any duty unlike ordering Amazon.com stuff to Canada.

No, it's a UK UV code. There are ways to redeem UK codes for the US service, but it's a major hassle and not officially approved.

Thanks. Guess I'll try to flip it on the UV/iTunes trade thread. Went ahead and ordered Enter the Dragon along with the Universal Classic Monsters.

6 days late from another continent is hardly worth complaining over.

I didn't complain, but after the fifth day I contacted them to inquire about the delay, and what I should do if it doesn't arrive. They refunded the shipping on their own.

It also comes in a standard plastic Blu-ray case, instead of the dreadful U.S.A. packaging.

Disney's semiannual BOGOF sale is running in the UK thru April 20, though at Amazon UK it becomes 2 for 16 (2D) & 2 for 19 (3D). I posted a complete list of titles in the Disney BOGO thread in Region B Deals, quoted below. Remember, Amazon UK's discount system effectively offsets VAT refunds; U.S. & Canada orders with standard shipping will be 20.07 (2D) or 23.07 (3D). Also make sure the item is sold by Amazon UK and not a Marketplace vendor. Though you can use each offer only once per order, you can still save on shipping by bundling it with other items (such as Frozen 3D which drops during this offer).

Edit: The six titles that are both (a) confirmed region-free and (b) either not released or "in the vault" here are in bold below.

Thank you! And I know just how exhausting and how much effort it takes to make EACH ITEM a link to its page, so mucho kudos for that as well!
