NEW Firmware updates was released today for several SONY Blu-Ray Players BDP-S350, S550, S360 and S560 if not all....check out http://esupport.sony.com/US/p/select...IRECTOR=DRIVER

I could not see any indication of whether or not these new firmware versions are infected with cinavia, so be careful to avoid any unpleasant surprises . . .

So has anyone updated their Sony S360 with the latest firmware (014)? And if so, does it contain Cinavia? I have a BDP-S360 (bought a couple of years ago), currently running firmware 011, Cinavia-free, and I'd like to update to version 014. Just want to make sure Cinavia's not included though. Anyone know? Thanks.

I too have a bdp-s360 that has 11 and have not upgraded since it plays all well. I too would like to know what Cinavia is? Anybody?

if an original BD movie has built in Cinavia protection,once copied to a BD-R and played on a Blu-ray player the result for the copied BD is unwatchable after 20 minutes. Players have built in Cinavia protection since February 2012.Whereas, PS3 since 3.15 firmware upgrade.

It does have Cinavia protection in it. Stay away from unless you like having the audio cut out after 20 min. No fun---Very agrovating.

Hi. Somewhat new to this, but does Sony usually update firmware every summer and such? The reason I ask is because I know The Little Mermaid probably will not work unless a new update is made before its release. Thanks.

If you can't watch ripped movies on Cinavia protected player sign me up. I buy all my films and could care less about people who pirate film and music.

Guess I read too quickly, this doesn't affect anything but a burnt bluray? I don't have those anyways so other than that the update is ok?
