I want another film from Lynch. Time for Ronnie Rocket?
Yeah, me too.
If I had to choose, I'd take another film from Lynch over Twin Peaks involvement.
Especially since he was recently quoted as saying he's "falling in love with actual celluloid film again" (after proclaiming he was done shooting on 35mm and preferred shooting digital - due to how easy digital was while shooting Inland Empire)

I'd heard he was getting back into film but I'd not seen the interview before. Wonder what happened to that "mind-boggling new film"?
1. The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
2. It's a Wonderful Life
3. Once Upon a Time in the West
4. Mulholland Drive
5. Rear Window

Maybe it was put aside while he was busy with Twin Peaks?
And maybe now that the Twin Peaks situation changed, perhaps Lynch can get back to that mind boggling film?

The reason he fell in love with film again was because of Twin Peaks. That quote was when he was supervising the FWWM deleted scenes. And we know now when the interview took place, Frost and Lynch were already talking Twin Peaks.

I don't think there was ever a "mind-boggling" new film.
