PS3 Problem: Invalid Disc - Blu-ray Forum

Today I went out and bought Se7en (the one with the book inside) on Blu-ray from Best Buy, I'd say this was about a half hour ago. I inserted the disc into my PS3 and got "Invalid disc. (80029903)."

My PS3 is about two years old. I have the latest update for the PS3. I tried two other Blu-rays, The Breakfast Club and Taxi Driver, both worked perfectly. Hopefully, I won't have to go out and get another PS3 or send it in to be fixed.

I hope you guys can help me.

Which PS3 do you have? Also do you have another Blu-ray player at home to try that movie? I read that restoring PS3 to default settings may help.

I've got the 160GB model. I tried Se7en on my Blu-ray player and it worked perfectly. Restoring my PS3 to default at the moment.

edit - Restored, still says Invalid Disc.

Been looking and only solutions I see people post are having it repaired or buying a new PS3

The exact same thing is happening to me. I purchased Seven yesterday, and it's giving me an error. My other blu's work fine, but this one doesnt.

The same thing happened to me, but when I put the disc in another player it got to the New Line logo and froze. I believe it's a disc problem, so I'm taking it back to exchange for another. I will report my findings when I get the new disc.

It also will not play on my panaasonic bd215 or bd50k models either!
