Does anyone know what the differences are between the two versions on Amazon?

I'm not associated with the reason behind the recall, but there were technically two editions. The one with the lates release date is the 'corrected' version.

Right?

I was just worried because the one coming out in Oct only has a 69 minute run time. Plus if you go to Kino's site they make no reference to a second edition. So does that mean the Blu's coming are the shorted film that they are just trying to get rid of?

The new bluray is the shortened version. It has a 69 minute run time.
Kind of bummed. I pre-ordered this back on July of 2012 and waited all this time just to receive an edited version of the film.

It shouldn't be, since they fixed it last winter.

BLASPHEMY!

A fellow XANADU fan! I'll keep saying it...I'd drive over my grandmother with a steamroller to get a Blu-ray of XANADU.

That being said, I also like SANTA CLAUS CONQUERS THE MARTIANS and I'm one of the unfortunates who got stuck with the truncated version of the film on BD.

I am SO confused about this release. I ordered this well over a year ago, and the original date was set for late last year. Then, all of a sudden, my pre-order changed to October 2013, and at the time, I thought there must've been a massive screw-up on Kino's part. Then I look at Blu-ray.com just now and I find out it was, in fact, released on the original release date last year, but my pre-order that got delayed just got released for October. What is going on, how did we end up with 2 releases, and how did my pre-order get switched to the delayed (and apparently shorter) version? Should I cancel this one and go for the other one I could've had almost a year ago if not for the mix-up? I've never been more confused by a Blu-ray release.
