Finally picked up the 3D blu at Best Buy this weekend for $14.99. Ok now I get it. I just watched this "properly" for the first time...in 3D with the surround cranked. I must say it was an awesome experience. The best 3D experience I've had. Yes the acting is bad and the story is stupid, but the visuals and 3D action more than make up for it.

Loved this. It made me go and seek out the rest of the franchise.......I am only missing the first one now. I just look at it as a fun movie, this ain't Citizen Kane......it's a zombie flick. And Milla.......wow.

I say that it is OK to enjoy movies like this. They are not meant to be anything other than what they are......eye and ear candy. I prefer this type of film, after a long day I want to escape reality, and this was a very well made zombie/action flick......awesome!

Why didn't the reviewer give the A/V quality of this movie 5 star ratings, instead of 4.9 What's 1 point! It doesn't make sense.

My favourite bit is when Jill smiles towards the end at Alice.
Throne of Elves Princess Nerwin: Beautiful, pretty, elegant, alluring, hot, radiant, enchanting, stunning, attractive and very, very sexy!!

Frozen's Elsa: Attractive, alluring and sexy with the loveliest hips.

Barbie in CGI: An Exquisite Beauty

The reviewer did give it 5 stars. The 4.9 is an average from 9 user reviews.

Watched this last night - WOW - gorgeous film/BD! Not the best acting or story of the series, but it was sure purdy. I must say, it wasn't nearly as bad as some folks say - and it set up the final (?) film beautifully.
You can only have too much ammo if you're on fire or swimming.

When you get a chance you should check it out in 3D.

Currently being shown open matted on Netflix. Ignore any borders in these images, these are cropped straight off my TV.

I checked Afterlife too, it's shown in 2.35:1.

Yeah, streaming/digital copy versions seem to be open matte. But not completely. I noticed this when I first bought my copy and watched the Vudu copy. They opened up the bottom and chopped off the sides.

One disappointment is that the surviving characters - Jill, Leon, Ada, Becky, Chris, and K-Mart - never returned for the last film, and we never got to see the battle at Washington presented near the end of this film.

another disappointment is bringing actors back, then giving them absolutely nothing to do.

I loved Jill in Resident Evil Apocalypse but they gave her nothing to do here.
"Still in all, every night we does the tell, so that we 'member who we was and where we came from... but most of all we 'members the man that finded us, him that came the salvage. And we lights the city, not just for him, but for all of them that are still out there. 'Cause we knows there come a night, when they sees the distant light, and they'll be comin' home."

Her appearance was supposed to be based off her blonde and brainwashed role in the Resident Evil 5 game. But yeah, her role mostly felt like fan service, because they knew that viewers were desperate to see her again.

Check out The Final Chapter novelization. It's a really well-written read and includes an entire "battle of Washington" chapter that explains what happened to everyone.

It also patches several of the other unaddressed holes left by TFC.

Didn't they kill off all the characters in that novel? With Becky and Alice being the only survivors?

Are the other novelizations of the film any good?
