Well, Aliens was her only acting credit - and that was as a child. She's still under 40 and, hey, she might want/need the check.

She was at the reunion. She seemed open to the idea of returning just for this role.

It's not a problem, and if they're great movies then great. It's just that I would rather original things than rehashes and flogging the old classics. Blokamp has a great imagination and if he partnered with better writers he could make some great new classics. Instead he's going to rehash something other people made, which I can't help seeing as lame.

I for one would gladly pay to see Jessica Biel in Carrie Henn's stead shooting up some Aliens.

Actually that's not entirely true. He is NOT going to ignore any events in Alien 3 or Alien Resurrection. He's NOT rewriting the franchise's history and all events in Alien 3 and Resurrection stand as canon. He is only going to take what he needs/wants from those 2 films and make this film as closely related to Aliens as possible It was reported that his comments were taken out of context. Yeah, but he has to know that we all want Hicks and Ripley back.

As far as I'm aware all the extras are playable on EU locked bluray players. I'm not aware that EU players aren't compatible with most Region A playback formats that would encoded on a Bluray disc.

If you don;t mind me asking, why would you want the Region A release unless you just collect all things Alien or just like the packaging?
Thank you for the detailed answer. I just figured that the same region rules there are for DVD apply to blu ray as well .
To answer your question, I'm not an avid Alien collector but since I really like this blu ray edition and since I just started upgrading my favourite movies to blu ray, I've decided to go for the best packaging available, well, at least for my budget.
Guess I'll buy the USA version.

That seems like a lot of editorial and not much with actual words from Blomkamp.

Yeah, just more speculation upon speculation. All we can really do is wait for official word from the director that isn't vague as ****.
Favourite film: Blade Runner --- Favourite director: David Lynch
Favourite album: Movement by New Order --- Favourite novel: It by Stephen King

For the record, Blurays don't scratch easy. if there is a scratch, it most likely is from production and not the case itself. I have every Book style collection of popular series, and not one scratch. I will say the only thing I have noticed is every once in a while light surface "scratches". They don't damage the disc, and wipe away with a micro-fiber cloth, in a motion wiping away from the center of the disc, and NOT in circles. Really good micro-fiber clothes can be found at most automotive stores, cause if there are people who hate scratches on cars, it is a car enthusiast.

Watch out! That'll get you bad trouble from some quarters around here.
Jessica Biel , huh? Well, If we're dreamin', then how 'bout a blonde - Scarlett Johansson. The hair's a better match.
