I have 1 & 2 already, and have been eagerly awaiting pt 3, but I can do without part 4. As much as I love Mr Miyagi, the film doesn't work without Daniel.

The trilogy centered around Daniel and Miyagi was HIS side-kick. The two working together had chemistry, like a father and son team. Taking Daniel out of the picture and putting in a girl and starting over from the beginning was just milking the cash cow one too many times.

I can hope for individual releases or a triple pack. I'd double dip for a triple pack if individuals weren't available.

+1. Man, i have 1 and 2 also. Beem waiting on 3 for a while now!!! Alot of people hate part 3 but i think its a rather good ending to Daniel's story/journey. I would buy a 3 pack set if that was the only way to get the 3rd film. I can do without the next karate kid even though Pat Morita was great in it.

I think the magic ended after Part 2, so I'm content with the first two -- which are classics.

Karate Kid Part III and The Next Karate Kid are also being released in Germany on Sept 18 (same day as Fright Night and Christine). If you're in the US, these should be cheaper to get compared to the AUS releases.

Just picked this up at my local Post Office via Amazon! Due to weather, the carrier left it for pickup. Popped in the The Karate Kid on my PS3 before heading to work and just had one huge smile on my face! I love this film!

Also had The Karate Kid III (DVD) in my order as well (I know, not the greatest film in the franchise but I wanted the trilogy). The wife surprised me by getting Next of Kin (DVD) but I'll likely return it and purchase the http://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Patric...Blu-ray/70665/ and get two other Swayze classics for the price of one. And to complete the day, my order of http://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Guys-B...Blu-ray/99326/ was waiting in the mail for me!

I wonder if we'll see a box set release for all the films eventually. Part III is weaker than the first two, but it still has its moments.

Yeah, yeah, yeah... I know, I know. The whole them of The Karate Kid III was that we should not give in to our anger and to hostile reactions.
Whatever.
I just wanted Daniel to be able to hold his own. Mike Barnes would've "won" almost instantly. If it weren't for giving away points by taking penalties so he could further humiliate Daniel (and it was humiliating), Daniel wouldn't have had the chance to pull off this movie's "super-move", which wasn't so super. So, Daniel got one lucky point and Mike Barnes had, what? 6? Daniel more than earned his wins in the first two movies. The third? Not at all.

I remember my friend and I laughing hysterically at the final fight when seeing this on opening night.

Daniel fought for his life and won, yet Barnes is supposed to be some great bad ass? They went to the well one too many times with the same notes they kept hitting in these movies. Maybe they could've gone in a slightly different direction and have Daniel train someone who turned against him, not more Cobra Kai stuff.

First post, just purchased the KK3 on AMazon Germany under $20 bucks and I must say as far as PQ goes, Germany imports never disappoint. I recently compared my Bloodsport US to Bloodsport Germany disc and the one in Germany is far superior. Just wanted to point that out. Can't wait to get my disc!!!!

Has anyone purchased or heard about this KK trilogy? It's allegedly region-free. I'm just a little reluctant until someone confirms that everything is in English and indeed region-free.
