The only reasons why I got the German BD instead of the Italian BD is because it has the original English mono audio in lossless and it was cheaper.

Plus it also helps that I can also read and understand all the German content that's on the disc and the packaging.

I bought the Italian Ripley release but put it in a 2-disc case where I keep the MGM disc for the extras.

That's British weather for you.
I've seen things you people wouldn't believe.
Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion.
I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tanhauser gate.
All those moments will be lost in time like tears in rain.

I think I'll look into The Hutt's restoration, as without the mono, it's mostly a dealbreaker, but I might get it for the Frayling commentary.

Just pre-ordered the 4K re-mastered version of TGTBTU coming out in October. Did it more for the Frayling commentaries than anything else. I have the 2K MGM remastered version with all it's faults so any Region A upgrade is of interest to me. It is one of my favorite films. One can only hope MGM gives us a lossless mono option one day.

The cover art for the remastered, standalone version of TGTBTU will be identical to the UK one.

Well, that was to be expected. Still going with the same old The Good, the Good and the Good cover.
