I still have Wrong Turn 5 yet to watch. But it's probably atleast gotta be better.

I would frankly watch a good horror themed Christmas movie over most of those above mentioned films.

Or Santa Claus Conquers the Martians. Hell... gimme Nightmare Before Christmas over them even. At least I'll enjoy myself.

Also, anyone who thinks Horror doesn't go hand in hand with Christmas doesn't know anything about the holiday.

The modern watered down mascot Santa Claus has darker inspiration back through myths. Such as The Krampus.

I've been hearing some good reviews for this movie. I'm actually pretty pumped to finally watch this movie since I absolutely <3 the original.

This movie was surprisingly decent. I'll probably wait for it to drop to $10 or less though. It's VERY similar to the My Bloody Valentine remake in my opinion.

I never understood why Grampa just started talking and they never mention it again.

Good movie, Id pick it up for around $10.

It was a failed nod to the original Silent Night, Deadly Night.

In that film, there's a scene where a family goes to visit their grandfather in a hospital. The grandfather is catatonic, but as soon as the little kid is left alone with him, the grandpa starts talking and warning him about Santa Claus. As soon as the parents return, the grandpa falls silent. When he tries to tell his parents, nobody believes him because he is just a kid.

Still better than 90% of the horror movies that actually made it to theatres this year.

Watched the original the other day when I normally watch it on X-Mas Eve but I figured I'd save the remake for X-Mas Eve (along with Res Evil Retribution and TDKR). No matter how many times I watch the original I love it even more, this is easily one of the more enjoyable slasher flicks and Christmas isn't Christmas until Silent Night, Deadly Night has been watched.

The remake was alright. Not as good as I wanted it but still fun.

I gotta give it a sober rewatch and I don't mind linking it with the original as my traditional x-mas viewing.
