Default Dimensions

Any one care to share the dimensions for the G1 & G2 sizes?

Not the 3D template but the actual printing dimensions...

Thank in advance

I had to do a lot of searching through old threads to find the following info. I used to make mine. Hope this helps!

You can easily make a template of your own using various programs. I use Gimp which is free image manipulation software.

-Take a hd wallpaper on themoviedb.org
- save my img template from couple posts above & then open it with gimp (make sure you saved as .png because .jpg doesn't support transparency)
- now find an img you want to work with, save it, then open with gimp in a new window
- crop & scale the img (these are under the "image" tab) so it matches the template size or as desired.
- go to template & select "by color" the black
- now copy img #2 & "paste into" (under edit) the template.

Notice only the template has the desired image now because you selected the region that you wanted it pasted "into" rather than a normal paste.

Now this is just basic stuff. Of course you can use transparency with layers, invert colors & direction of image, add lighting effects & patterns....just experiment & have fun.

Total width: 27.4cm
Total height: 17cm
Spine width: 0.8cm
Spine height: 15.4

Got'ta admit, each designs I've seen are quite remarkable, wish I had the proper skills and patience to make custom steel covers,

I would love to see somebody present a Law/Order: Special Victims Unit and Once Upon A Time Steelbook Designs

Default Star Wars Blu-ray steelbook

Hi chaps, this is my first time posting.

I've designed some packaging for Star Wars steelbooks, with the idea in mind that Lucasfilm might one day release the original theatrical versions on blu-ray.

I haven't completed front, spine and back covers to template specs, I've just mocked up a front cover.

Can't beat original artwork and poster taglines. I really hope you like them!

What would I give, for an ORIGNAL original trilogy steelbook of Star Wars!

Disney, make it happen!
Faster than a bullet from a gun. Closer to Heaven than to Earth.

2K setup: 65" Panasonic VT65, Onkyo TX-SR608 7.2, Oppo BDP-103 Region-Free, Sonus Faber Venere 2.5 fronts, Jamo E8CEN centre, E800 surrounds and rear surrounds, E8SUB subwoofer, Sony MDR-HW700DS 9.1 headphones, Monster Power HTS-2600, 1TB Mediacentre, 500GB PS4, Cyron RGB LEDs. 50" VT30 and 40GB fat PS3 in the lounge.

4K setup to follow...

Was fooling around with an artwork template and got around to making my ideal Force Awakens SteelBook.

Whilst something to fit with the other films would be nice, I'd love for the actual release to use the IMAX artwork.

I don't currently have PhotoShop and I wouldn't really know how to go about finding all the resources to make this anyway, but here's the rough idea of a dream Steelbook / fullslip package that I would create (intended as a Version B variant to some more general package that was more about the whole gang).

I like the fact a bunch of amateurs can make steelbooks far more attractive than commercial releases just messing around in Photoshop.

Some of these studios need to wake up a little.
Need Zavvi Aladdin - doesn't have to be sealed but must be mint.
s or have Beauty and the Beast and Pinocchio sealed
