The accents didn't bother me, they may not have been accurate but I'd have no way of knowing.

I usually don't complain about accents, but these two accents sounded like they were meant for a parody/spoof movie, not a big budget blockbuster as this is.

Again, after subsequent viewings at home I find it worse than initially thought. What makes it worse are the times where there is clearly no accent, just her regular voice.

Glad you liked it more upon rewatching. I like AoU a ton but also think a fair amount of the criticism is valid. The accents didn't bother me personally. I wonder if they'll pull a Storm (now THAT was a bad accent) in the next one and just drop it all together.

For a made up place, the accent is very acceptable IMO

And the editing and/or pacing/acting during the church scene was far too brief to catch all that that scene represents.

I think the Steve and Maria extended scene should've been in there. I saw it first, then the movie, and it feels like what was cut was cut from that scene.

I can't really remember the bits that were cut from the scene of Bruce and Natasha. But I do remember she was a lot more flirtatious/forward in her trying to persuade Bruce. Which, while realistically acted, felt off. Plus, she was more in a "relationship" with Bruce/Hulk and he with her.
Yes, absolutely. Agree fully. Whoever decided to cut it...smh!

are you guys referring to the deleted scenes on the disc?

Cos for most of them, especially the Thor ones, it seems backwards to have them removed (and I firmly believe that the box office takings would have equalled if not exceed the first, had these scenes been kept in. The movie felt way too rushed.)

Yes indeed!

It's funny. I thought some of the first movie deleted scenes would have changed the movie a bit for some characters but AOU would have enhanced it.

Too many hands in the project and over thinking things as usual.

Even the Thor one, while not directly applicable to the main film's plot, makes the movie much more understandable. And it would have only added 2 mins to the run time. That and the church scene talked about above would have made things a lot smoother.

The one other thing I thought the film needed was Ultron upgrading his bodies. He does it once in front of BW (IIRC) where he busts through one body with another. The second is slightly bigger. They should have shown him doing that 2-3 times in the movie with the final one being the Vibranium body.

I'm still annoyed the Blu-ray didn't have that shot scene where Quicksilver lived and was given a costume of sorts in that final shot of the movie. The footage exists but I guess since his death is final they didn't want to include it. Marvel Studios sadly seems quite adamant about No director's/extended cuts so I wouldn't be surprised if that footage is never shown unless it leaks.

Pity on me, I'm very ashamed to admit that I've watched the movie only tonight!!!! I don't know why, but I wasn't so attracted by it in the very first place and just let this slip away from my personal radar.

I loved the character development a lot. THOR is the same boring and non-charismatic entity (as character) as always, maybe more than ever. But I loved the way they handled the other characters anyway --- I loved the screenplay and I loved the dialogues.
ULTRON felt very predictable as character, his motivations seemed cliché as hell, but I pictured him much worse in the trailer. I must admit that Ultron worked well in the film, all in all.
I also loved the direction. It wasn't as brilliant as the first Avengers movie, but it was very good nonetheless.
My biggest complain is that I feel the movie truly required longer battles and more "dense" action pieces. It seems like they just diluted the action rhythm too much. I'm talking about the pacing, of course.
I wanted more battle scenes featuring Iron Man (not Hulkbuster mode), even.

Anyway, I would dare to say it's a great movie and it's very rewatchable. I wasn't expecting that at all.
