It takes me forever to catch up on my backlog of titles to watch, so I'll stop checking this thread now just in case...

Finally got to watch this. I guess my expectations were too high. Sure there was amazing depth. When people walked toward or away from the camera, it seemed pretty cool. I guess i just wanted more pop out. 3d started strong for the first 30 min. - a couple of near pop outs. Anyway seemed like a few stretches where the 3d went kinda limp or sterile. Then every once in a while a sweet, heavy 3d shot would be thrown in. It being from the 50s, i knew it might be boring, so i guess i found this a little bit of a snoozer.
most wanted blus: the Legend of 1900, Brotherhood of the Wolf, Sheena Queen of the Jungle, Farinelli, any Phish, the Last Castle, Clan of the Cavebear, Silver Bullet, Beastmaster, Sword and the Sorcerer. Samsung pn51f8500 plasma active 3d, Vizio 42" LCD passive 3d, Panasonic bdt310, PS3 slim 60 gb, Denon AVR 590, Polk Audio rm6750, Sennhieser hd 280 pro.

Can't say much that hasn't been already said. Agree with all the positives about the 3D composition and framing. Like I said about "Redheads", the film never lets you forget that you're not looking at a picture, but into it. The restoration is fantastic, although a lot of credit can be given the 3D Archive's chance to work with a new scan of the OCN. Found the commentary informative and interesting. Also have to agree somewhat with the negative comments about some weaknesses in the plot structure, but who cares? These older 3D films weren't really meant to be Academy Award material, but they're fascinating and great to see! Couldn't be more pleased with "The Maze". Looking forward with baited breath to the next: "Sangaree".
