After the first two underwhelming films I really don't give a hoot who makes it over the wall.

Oh, I thought you meant something bigger. That's not really that much of a spoiler.
[Show spoiler]She wasn't really part of the core group, so even if she did survive she still probably wouldn't be on the cover.

this one was bad, but damn my completionist ways I have the first two so I'll eventually have to get this one too, I guess.

With Allegiant not doing all that well at the box office, I wonder how Ascendant will perform. And, with production of The Death Cure screeched to a halt, I wonder if the popularity of dystopia/YA films is finally winding down.

I liked aspects of it, like the production design (beyond the wall, post-apocalypse looking stuff) and some of the action, and I like Shailene, but the story is just so hollow and pointless. It's a decently involving movie moment-to-moment if you like the first two, but overall I didn't care about the story and it's instantly forgettable. I'll grab it too but it'll have to get as low as what I bought Insurgent for, $7.

That would be nice. How many times can you retell the same basic story?

I didn't hate everything, you are correct the production design was cool and some of the action was pretty cool I just thought it was very pointless and they could have wrapped it up in one movie

Well, infinitely for Hollywood...

I saw Divergent and found it very mediocre, and so I have no desire to see the other three films in the series. Similarly, I've seen the first three Hunger Games films (I even own the first two), but I just haven't bothered to watch Mockingjay Part 2 because the ending really doesn't matter all that much; plus, Mockingjay is my least favorite book in the trilogy. The Maze Runner is a rather mediocre movie, too. The whole genre is very meh for me, though it's still very very popular for its target audience.

For real. I own the first two steelbooks, so that doesn't bode well for me after giving Allegiant a score. Guess BBY wins again, and I'm dishing out $20+ for a film I thought was less than mediocre.

I feel the same way. at least I didn't get the steelbooks so I'm safe to wait for a steep price drop. let's just hope it'll be with a slip!

I think I'm bowing out of this series. I blind bought the first two and I think they're average at best.

Hadn't read the books. Blind watched the first movie and enjoyed it. Went and read the 3 books before the 2nd movie came out. Enjoyed that movie.

I do think splitting it into two movies was silly. While I didn't hate the movie, they are basically going to have to create content to make the 4th even matter. And if they'd just used the story of the 3rd in the 3rd movie without dragging it out, I think it would have held up better. Whatever the reason, the 3rd movie wasn't as good as the first 2 in a lot of ways.

That said, I'll get the new one. I just hope there are several different options for covers and such whether it's steelbook or otherwise. Most people may not like this option, and it may not ship this way, but I really like this cover even if it doesn't make much sense. http://www.blu-ray.com/movies/The-Di...lu-ray/155566/

Are we even getting one? I haven't seen any indication of one.

That's actually what they did. The 4th movie, if it's still being made, is a pretty much original story.

Wow, so no steelbook for this one? I thought this one was pretty bad so if there's no steelbook I'll probably pick it up on Black Friday or something because I have the first two.
