The problem I'm having is when I watch BD's. When in DTS-HD or Dolby True HD my speakers are very quite and vocals only come from the center speaker. I get better sound using the multi chanel setting on the avr. Ive ran the Audessy set up and I'm using a PS3 for play back and have the audio output set as bitstream. My old receiver was an Onkyo 705 and worked great. Not sure what I'm doing wrong or where the setup failed but I'm def not liking the Denon.
Any comments would be helpful. Also I wouldnt mind recommendations on a new receiver in the $350-450 range. My Setup Mits 92" DLP PS3 Denon Avr-591 Acoustech HT-88 Fl Acoustech HT-65 Center Acoustech H-100 Sub Acoustech C-65 rears I think |

2. The AVR-591 is bottom line receiver (I used to have the 591), it may not have the processing power to decode the bit-stream signal while running the Audyssy room correction software and applying its filters. Set your PS3 to PCM output to decode at the player and see if that helps with your sound issues. http://www.accessories4less.com/make...eceiver/1.html http://www.accessories4less.com/make...D-Ready/1.html || AVR - Onkyo TX-NR1009 || Amp - Emotiva XPA-2 || TV - Misubishi WD60737 || BD Player - Sony BDP-S790 || CD Player - Denon DCM-290 || Gaming - Modified PS3 Fat || Gaming - Modified Wii || Main L&R - Polk Audio Monitor 70II || Center - PolkAudio CS2II || Surround - Polk Audio Monitor 40II || Rear Surround - Polk Audio OWM3 || Front High -Polk Audio OWM3 || Subwoofer - 2 Polk Audio PSW505s || Harmony 1100 Remote ||

Nice that should work well for you. I think I got about $150 out of my 591 on ebay when I sold mine. If you have any questions about setup on the 809 I can definatly help you as it is nearly the same as my 1009.
