That was quick. It just got done in theaters and now it's being released just over 2 months later.

I don't think those are US dates, In the US Bad Santa 2 is being released in US by Broad Green Pictures and Hacksaw Ridge is being released through Summit/Lionsgate.

On there is showing Bad Santa 2 via Eone and Hacksaw Ridge through Universal. (I think those are the Canadian releases.)

Great film and one of the best of the year. Welcome back, Mel! Day one for me!

OP you should be posting sources. The list appears to be from a Canadian source. Those dates look a little too early for all of those.

Those are "order by" dates for retailers, not street dates for consumers to buy them.

See the top of the image, it does say Feb 21st. The order by date is January.

Feb 21 doesn't sound too early, then. Gives Allied a three-month window, and Hacksaw was out at least a couple weeks before that.

EDIT: But I guess we no longer need pre-order links to start making threads lol

Canadian releases are released the same day as the US, and with a few exceptions are usually identical.

I appreciate the shorter windows between theatrical releases and home video as I no longer go to the cinema except for big event movies. The less I have to wait the better. Heard good things about this film but had no idea Gibson directed it. Gibson is a terrific director, as evidenced by his biblical epic Passion of the Christ (one of the most wrenching movie-watching experiences ever IMO) and Apocalypto, which I just watched again over the weekend and was floored by once again. My initial impressions of Hacksaw Ridge (going by the trailer and certain "reviews") was it's a movie about a guy who doesn't believe in violence being forced to go to war. At first I thought, eh, just another high-concept but still generic war film with no-name actors so I skipped it. Now I think I'm sorry I did.

What about Braveheart!? His masterpiece in my opinion, and the Best Picture winner at the Oscars.

Get on it!

Especially if you enjoy his other pictures. I believe you can find the Blu for $5-$10. It looks great and has lots of extras as well.

They're practically giving away Braveheart this week. It's $4.00 at Target, and Amazon matched

Forget Mel's extracurricular/off-hours comments and antics...this guy can make an emotionally, well crafted masterpiece. Getting robbed if this is not nominated for more then a few Oscars.

One of the best movies I've seen in years!!!

I ended upo seeing this cuz I got $5 money cash with a $7 blu-ray (Hamburger Hill). I wanted to use that for something else, like Dr. Strange, but this time when I asked if I could use it for anything, they said no. The last 5 times I had money cash from any ofer, they asked me what movie I wanted to use it for and said you can use them for whatever, despite what was shown on the printout. So i was kinda bummed I had to go to this and couldn't even sneak to one I wanted to see more, as they were all on the other side of theater with another usher to get past, and no times lined up either.

Bottom line, kinda glad I got stuck with this. It was a very good film and proof that no matter what Mel does off-screen, he's a force on it. Probably will pick up the Blu now, before seeing it this was gonna be library list!

Nope. It's an Elevation Pictures release in Canada. Their home video distribution is handled via Universal.
