Very impressive that modestly budgeted adult fare like this, Argo, Lincoln and Django did extremely well.

Watched it this weekend. It was definately a far more interesting film than I was led to believe and not your standard sappy love story.

A few scenes could have easilly been trimmed as they felt a tad bit excessive and overly long (the bet scene with the whole cast quickly springs to mind).

The two primaries, Lawrence and Cooper were fantastic with DeNiro knocking another masterful performance out of the park.

Jennifer Lawrence was amazing in the role but Anne will win the Oscar, since she should've won for Rachel Getting Married, they will give her one this year. Just the way that goes, think this will be a very fun BD to watch soon.

There in two different categories. Jennifer is nominated for Best Actress, while Anne is nominated for Best Supporting Actress. So not in the same category.

Saw it two days ago.
A very nice movie, it really surprised me.
I'm not a drama/romcom fan, this is one of the few that I loved.
For sure the only one I'll remeber from the last years.

Awesome Jennifer Lawrence, and also Bradly Cooper. I would never expect such a performance from him.

I don't like being Debbie Downer, but since this thread is asking for opinions, I was not impressed by the film at all.

While Jennifer Lawrence was great, and Cooper gives as best a performance as he probably ever will, the story was mediocre and typical "safe" rom com ending. The story in the book was much bolder.

May pick it up just for Lawrence.

Wife and i went and watched this today. We both really liked it alot. Lawrence is great as always but i was really shocked by how great a performance cooper gave! He should have won some awards for this role.

Watched it for the first time this afternoon, really enjoyed it. Jennifer's performance was solid but not sure if oscar worthy?

While I haven't seen this yet, maybe she won due to it being a down year for Actresses, I mean the other choices were really just safe choices anyway.

I saw every Actress nominee and Jennifer's definitely was the best. It was a down year for Best Actress, for sure.

Ditto. Oh wait, I didn't see Emmanuelle Riva's yet. Jennifer's was the best of what I've seen. I did see others that should have been nominated (Mary Elizabeth Winstead in Smashed, for example), but I still felt Jennifer's was the best lead female performance of last year.
