I felt like DOTM was by far the best one. The action scenes topped both the first films added together.

And DOTM didn't resort to Transformers' balls jokes or leg humping robots.

And they finally rid the franchise of the awful Megan Fox actress!

Plus, Dark of the Moon's just the worse film of the franchise so far. How people can say it's better than Revenge of the Fallen is beyond me. At least that film sticks with the mythology created by the first film.

Dark of the Moon's basic plot that revolves around Megatron's plan with Sentinel Prime makes ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY no sense when you think about Megatron's role in the first two films.

If you go from wanting to blow up the Earth's sun to harvest it's energy and use that energy to rebuild Cybertron in part 2, how can you go to wanting to bring Cybertron into Earth's orbit so you can enslave humanity to rebuild it in part 3 and say that was the plan all along?

If you had succeeded with your plan in part 2, your plan in part 3 makes absolutely no sense to the mythology as presently constructed.
I just chalked it up to Megatron being a smart cookie. REAL bad guys don't just have ONE evil plan, they multi-task! He probably had a few more in case he survived and the one from DOTM failed.

Or, the original plan was the one in DOTM, but he got bad guy antzy, and tried some other stuff while they were looking for Sentinel?

Just cause they rid the film of that horrible actress, doesn't mean the film was awful.

If Bay actually brings Fox back he will have officially earned his "hack" moniker. He's always been called a hack but this would cement it.

The action sequences may have been better in DOTM, but the story, plot and acting were better in the first film.

I mean one of the main plots of ROTF was to say how much they loved each other. And all the stuff she did for Sam. if she didn't appreciate Sam she wouldn't have flown across the country in a heart beat. I mean they go on that journey together to say that. And after all that they go through in the end they finally say they love each other. But suddenly in the third one she's like i don't like you anymore I'm leaving you. Felt they just needed to add that line in there to make the Mikela character seem like a bad character all of a sudden and for us to not like her and like the new girl more instead.

I agree.

It would've been better if Mikaela was killed by a Decepticon or something.

Why are they in Taylor, Texas?

Does the plot involve inbred rednecks with tons of cocaine and crappy marijuana? If so, they are in the right place.
....and so says the Meeklo

Yeah, that "Sam's happy time" scene in the first film was so cringeworthy, especially when there were little kids sat in front of me...

So Megatron only crash landed on what was an unknown planet because he was chasing the Allspark, and no one had any knowledge of Earth who lived on Cybertron, and the Allspark was the MacGuffin that would win the Cybertronian war in the first one, but the then the second one completely tarnishes the Autobots' victory in the final fight by resurrecting Megatron and saying they didn't actually need the Allspark, they just needed the Energon Harvester, which would conveniently be on the same planet the Allspark happened to turn up on after the Autobots randomly jettisoned it into space?

I'll agree though, the third does go even further, by THEN saying the motivation to go to Earth was because it was the only planet with a population to rebuild Cybertron (even though the Transformers themselves are living proof it surely isn't) and Megatron and Sentinel made a deal to drag Cybertron to Earth with the pillars.

So the Fallen said to Megatron "Go to Earth to harvest the son", while Sentinel said "Let's drag Cybertron to this Earth place" conveniently, and then out of the blue and randomly the Allspark happened to land on Earth when the Autobots got rid of it, yet it was an unknown planet?

The Transformers films hurt my head

And then Michael Bay 'kindly' steps in to set the franchise up for future directors. If I was given control over that movie I'd start fresh personally, he's driven some of the best characters into the ground for the sake of a quick action sequence (Any Autobot in 2 and 3 that isn't Optimus or Bumblebee, any Decepticon that isn't Megatron or to a lesser extent Starscream)
