If they're behind it, they really know how to layer things clearly in 3D, so I'm interested now.
Good point but then again, I grew up watching these in b&w so am used to and prefer to see them in b&w if I had my choice. Still, I picked this up as well as the Little Rascals 3D. I also got the Stooges dvd box set which they did a great job on but why the heck didn't Sony release it on BD? They could have included the two shorts that were shot in 3D just as Universal did with CFTBL 3D BD. What a missed opportunity or next year will we be double dipping.

I tested the 3D in color, and used my auto settings to go into black and white mode on my 3DTV. Both look good, I agree, though it's a pretty remarkable set of color conversions as well.

I hope there are more classic 3D titles with this level of quality soon at this price, 14.99.

Yes, I'd like to see more also. I wonder what they have up their sleeves?

I'd like to see more of the classic movies converted to 3D, but will consider the Little Rascals 3D the series, as with the 3D Stooges.

I'm going to play the March of the Wooden Soldiers 3D (Babes in Toyland) on Thanksgiving before the football games. I know the older audience really enjoys this classic.

The 3D turned out better than I would have imagined, so a worthwhile purchase I'll watch again. Also for March of the Wooden Soldiers 3D, a funny movie to play for the holiday in 3D.

Default Stupid question about Three Stooges Blu-ray 3D

Before I unseal this disc-Does this disc contain a non 3D blu-ray version? I do not have a blu-ray 3D player, just a blu-ray player. I bought it assuming it was a regular blu-ray that had 3D effects not requiring special hardware. Thanks for your help.

The Three Stooges and Little Rascals discs are both region free but does anyone know if March Of The Wooden Soldiers is? Does anyone in Region B land have that?

Anyone have a system with a 2D-only component that can answer if "The Three Stooges in 3D" will play in 2D?

I have confirmed that the Blu-ray 3D will play in 2D with the 3D-output turned-off in "video-setup" on an Oppo 3D Blu-ray player, but that doesn't guarantee the disc will play in 2D on a 2D dedicated system; Sorry I don't have the specific components for a valid test.

I'd be curious to take a look, at least to see the quality of the job they did. But I'd much prefer that more attention be focused (for the moment, anyway) on releasing the significant amount of native 3-D classic content.

As an aside, I'd also really love to hear what George Lucas thinks about this. I recall that he opposed the colorization of old Three Stooges shorts (considering what he did to Star Wars, I find this kind of funny), so I can't imagine he'd appreciate 3-D conversions of them (again, considering what's been done to Star Wars... still kinda funny ).
I feel much the same. It's unnecessary, but so long as they're releasing the original along with the conversion, I have no real objection.

It is a bit of a shame that it's worth spending all this money on a conversion, when there doesn't seem to have been any release of the Three Stooges shorts that were actually filmed in 3D.

I really liked the Three Stooges conversions - their actual real 3D shorts were apparently briefly released on the Playstation Network for $30 each so they do exist in 3D...
