...That's nice, dear.
(Boy, do some people earn their forum names, or what?)

Here, though, we're talking (er, at least, we were) about preserving 80's 3-D in the only place it CAN be exhibited in these modern times.
Unless Universal preserves the converted master for theatrical digital 3-D, as I believe has been shown at a few festival markets.

I'm sure if a studio decided that a silent film didn't "deserve" to be shown anymore just because most theaters were sound, there might be understandable complaints.

Yeah, but most of those movies were BETTER!
I'm not going to ask whether or not you personally have a 3-D player and set at home, but let's just say, you so do not understand the issue at play right now.
Me, I don't think there actually was one good 3D movie made between 1981 and 1985, but That. Is. Just. Not. The Point.

I like Jaws 3-D, however I just watched it tonight on my direct tv dvr. I recorded it in HD on Cinemax and I've gotta say its a mess. There are dirt and specks through out the whole movie and lots of blurry shots. It's too bad I really have enjoyed this one. I hope Universal cleans it up before they release it on blu-ray.

And the wrong aspect ratio, no?
Best film of 2013: 42
Most over-rated film of 2013: Place Beyond The Pines.

The DVD's in the wrong aspect ratio, I'm confused, wasn't it always widescreen?

Dvd is proper 2.35 ratio.
Cable HD airings are usually opened to, or in this case cropped to, 1.78. I caught the end of Jaws 4 on cable the other day and it was 1.78 (and the same TV ending from the dvd).

Bring on the JAWS 3-D Blu-Ray....I just bought a brand new Samgung 3-D TV.

I did watch some of the Friday the 13th part 3 Blu-Ray using the auto 3-D Conversion and it looked pretty good but I bet an Official 3-D BluRay would like 100 times better.

I would love a Friday the 13th Part 3D Blu-ray. I feel they need more conversions of old 3D movies like House of Wax and Old 3D Shorts.

I didn't think they were, unless I've missed something

Would prefer II over III naturally, but happily have both in my collection.

I knew "The Postman" was on the list, and due to it's length and various other reasons it did horribly theatrically and is not everyone's cup of tea. But I was surprised to see "The Majestic" on that list, the movie was directed by Frank Darabont and is probably one of my favorite films made in the 2000's, in fact even though it's only available on DVD I watch it at least 3-4 times a year easily.
