Nolan's Dark Knight films are the best made of any comic book trilogy ever put to film and I doubt these films will be surpassed. Having said that, depending upon my mood, I can tend to favor the Sam Raimi Spider-Man movies but I'm always going to be a big fan of both.
I love all three, I just used good-epic-good to signify the middle was the best one. And yeah I love Raimi's trilogy too... very different vibe, but just as great a piece of art.

Other good trilogies is Toy Story, Indiana Jones, Evil Dead, LOTR etc.
