This is in relation to the Region B UK release of this animation. There appears to be 3 different versions of this movie. Can anyone clear up which are the anaglyph versions please? I understand there is the Triple play Bluray 3D + Bluray + DVD version, then there is the Bluray version and also the DVD version. Can anyone clear up whether or not the Bluray and DVD versions both have the anaglyph edition of the film as they say both 2D and 3D versions included, which is usually a sign for the anaglyph versions?Amazon have added to my confusion by stating on both Blurays that you require a 3D TV making me think that there is only an anaglyph version for the DVD.
The reason I need to know is because as I can't unfortunately play the Bluray 3D version on my setup (the 3D sides run out of sync...this is a known bug with some players) I am considering buying the anaglyph version (hopefully a Bluray HD version) and then converting the movie to sbs. That way I can get to see one of the best 3D animations out there in a reasonable 3D quality. I've made a few of these SBS versions before (for home use) from my 3D DVD versions and they're not bad quality. As I can't see Philips doing a firmware update for my player to solve the original problem anytime soon, I'm considering going down this route as I really would like some kind of 3D version of the movie. I'd watch the anaglyph version accept watching them gives me bloodshot eyes I need a long term 3D conversion project to keep me off the streets anyway... I've this one: http://www.yesasia.com/us/sammys-adv...0-en/info.html
Bought from YesAsia, and it's the 'real 3D' version, stereoscopic 3D. This is one movie we should see to believe... to believe in the power of 3D! This is my 'demo disc' and the 'snake scene' is my 'demo scene'... I haven't seen a "snake coming out of my TV that far" [anything that far for the matter] till date! I can't stop myself pausing the 'popped-out snake' ever; and revel in the marvel of 3D. Undoubtedly I'm enjoying my 3D experience since...

Thanks for all the info. I'll look into these versions.
I certainly won't be buying a new 3D player just for one or two unplayable discs though. The cheapest here in the UK is around £70-80....certainly not "cheap" to buy just for a couple of movies. I'll probably pick up the 3D DVD as its cheaper and easier to convert. I did some tests with Animals United (the 3D anaglyph bluray version is included with the Bluray 3D version) and editing and saving HD M2ts files is a slow process. Much quicker to just rip a VOB and work with that. I'll primarily want to watch this in 3D on my Infocus projector at 1024 x 768 resolution so it doesnt really have to be in HD. Also, my comp cant handle 1080p in page flip mode so DVD will probably be best for my old setup just so i can watch the film on a big screen. Gae |

In the end I decided to purchase DVDFab 3D Ripper for £25 (20% off before 17th June). That way I can rip and watch all my 3D Blu-rays (plus A Turtle's Tale) and watch them (in a lower resolution) on my projector and an 80" screen.
