Well, I figure it will cost me that same amount in gas to drive 130 miles round trip to see "Your Name," plus eating supper out somewhere before the movie, so the actual cost will be closer to $50 for me to see the movie - and with it being so soon after I went to see the SAO movie, I'm glad I just got a big tax return back, lol!

That is one nice thing about living in CA. Tons of theaters around me have these kinds of things. The theater in Hollywood is super janky though for the premieres.

The SAO movie for me was only $14. And I brought in my own soda and candy haha. I ain't paying those overkill prices on that same stuff I can get at the dollar store.

The costs to distribute an anime film are more per/theatre than something like a Disney film due to sheer volume..
Yeah, that's also what stopped me from going to see the recent Monogatari films on the big screen. It was the same admission as a feature-length evening movie for something playing mid-afternoon and lasting only about an hour.

My ticket was $6, and I sneaked in dollar store candy as well. Need to start bringing in soda.

And yet my area of California only gets them like once or twice a year.

I do all the time. I usually just bring in a bottle of Dr. Pepper.

Well I never eat or drink anything during a movie, so I don't have to worry about buying OR sneaking in anything. I don't get up to pee during a movie either; once I'm in my seat before the movie, I'm there to stay until the movie is over.

The ticket for Your Name was $13.20, plus $1.35 Fandango fee. SAO movie was about the same, $13.50. I prefer to buy tickets online for a theater that is not in my immediate area. I did see that Fandango will give you a ticket refund through their website right up until the show time, if for some reason you can't make it to the movie.
