I've been meaning to ask this one for a while. Everytime I download a demo or an update, it seems like the install of that demo takes forever! Why is it so slow?
Blonde reads newspaper headline "3 Brazilian men killed in tragic sky diving accident."
Blonde frantically shouts "oh my god, just how many ARE 3 brazillion??" |

Same here! When I install a game on my PC via Steam, even one as large as Max Payne 3, a 30GB game I downloaded, it usually takes a few minutes to install fully. When I try to install say Street Fighter IV on my PS3, which was about 18GB, it needs to take an hour or so to install the game, and it still needs an update.
I never liked using the PS3 for digital downloads (although the payoff for convenience usually pays off), and it's install and update process is a PITA. It's really horrible trying to update a game like Gran Turismo 5 or MAG, especially since you can't leave the download area for an update.

3mbs dsl is the fastest speed we have in our area. That said, for me, the install portion of the download is always lightning fast compared to the download. A few gbs of demos will take me at least an hour to download, but each demos rarely takes longer than a minute to install.
