This thread reminds me of movie critics who use the terms "payed homage to" and "ripped off." It made me wonder where the line is drawn.

I was watching The Outlaw Josey Wales earlier today, and I was watching the scene at the beginning of the movie where Josey is burying his child. I got to thinking, the burial scene in the Evil Dead movies looks very similar. I was kind of curious to know if there was any connection there. I tried searching on Google but didn't come up with any results.
