Anyone know if this is something that can be done with the PS3? It's the only 3D compatible thing I own at the moment lol

This was out in the UK yesterday. I enjoyed it a lot. I'm not a big Metallica fan, i like a few of their tracks but the concert was very well produced, the 3D was good and the short film with Dane De Haan was also interesting.
"Still in all, every night we does the tell, so that we 'member who we was and where we came from... but most of all we 'members the man that finded us, him that came the salvage. And we lights the city, not just for him, but for all of them that are still out there. 'Cause we knows there come a night, when they sees the distant light, and they'll be comin' home."

The German Steelbook is very nice (and affordable!), includes 2D and 3D discs, but is locked to Region B (I tested it).

Heads up to those with Region Free capabilities and don't mind importing, Amazon UK has this for 9.25 pounds (before VAT removal)! Prior to today, it was going for 13.00 pounds. It includes a 3D Blu-ray and a regular blu-ray, but it is LOCKED for Region B:

Default Through the Never 3D

Received my Collectors Edition a few days ago.
Figured I'd revive this thread with a pic of the ones I have so far.

Got the regular 3D amaray first.
Had to pick up the Japanese version because it has an amazing 7.1 mix.
Then got a deal on the huge Collectors Edition.

Finally decided to pull the trigger on this. The US price is a bit much at $45 average. I got it shipped from the UK for $17. If I really love it I'll consider shelling out for the Japanese version.

Default Metallica - Through the never - Dolby Atmos release

Just spotted this on Amazon.de

http://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B00T...f_rd_i=desktop

Dolby Atmos re-release, 2 disc edition. I have the UK edition and 5.1 mix is great, but an atmos release must sound amazing

Atmos would be awesome for this release.

I have the Japanese release with DTS-HD MA 7.1 96kHz 24-Bit sound and it blows away the other 5.1 releases of this that I have.
I'm interested to find out how good this Atmos release is compared to it.
The more Through the Never, the better.

Its released by Ascot Elite, a very small label. I suspect a quick money grab.
