I remember seeing a trailer for it when I was a kid and really looking forward to it and then.... nothing. Never got released and only learned about it long after.

When are these idiots finally going to give the action masterwork Stone Cold the release it deserves? They (or rather, Scream) already showed Baxley's other early 90s opus I Come in Peace some love...this should've been a done deal by now.

It's with Sony, they don't release stuff from them yet.

Columbia handled the theatrical distribution for the film. I think the film itself was part of the Epic Productions catalog that MGM acquired in the late 1990's.

As per Double Impact (1991; also from The Stone Group).

Columbia did have the VHS/DVD rights for both of these in the UK, but not now. I believe MGM do, as per the USA.

Given that MGM is willing to sub-licence to almost any company going, it is surprising that SC hasn't shown up yet on BD.

Didn't like it enough to pay €30.

Half that, maybe...?

Haha. Looks a bit like it, doesn't it? Makes the film look futuristic, which it isn't.

I think the artist was riffing on THE TERMINATOR:

Much like how the artist for R.O.T.O.R. borrowed heavily from the original MAD MAX poster:
